Dilek is a Turkish actor based in London, who grew up in Istanbul, and who’s roots go back to Greece. Acting has been a passion for her since childhood, and she went on to gain a Masters Degree in Film and Drama Acting at Kadir Has University, Istanbul.
Dilek had a successful career performing in a variety of productions in Turkey, and since moving to the UK, has been involved in a range of acting projects in London – including stage show ‘The Parade,’ for which she won Best Actress award for her performance as Zoe.
During lockdown, Dilek performed a character named Gozde, who has a personality disorder. After which, her interest in the subject led her to write a play about personality disorder, and she finds it particularly interesting as an actor to play such challenging characters.
Dilek has a passion for yoga, meditation, and shamanism, which she feels adds to her approach to playing different roles. She is also studying film at the moment, and enjoys writing her own scripts.
