The highlights of his career so far include: an international tour of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by the Bristol Old Vic/ Handspring Puppet Company, where he puppeted Puck and played as a Mechanical and a Fairy. The London List reported: ‘Fionn Gill played an unforgettable wall that gets more laugh-out-loud funny with each movement’. He also worked with the same director Tom Morris on Swallows and Amazons where he was part of the original castAs well as comedy, Fionn is a versatile actor who also enjoys drama – playing Meshak in the hard-hitting stage production Coram Boy, directed by Melly Still, where The Arts Desk wrote: ‘Meshak, played with great sensitivity and uncanny presence by Fionn Gill’.

More recently, Fionn worked with writer/director Tim Crouch in An Oak Tree and childrens theatre show Jeremee, Hartleby and Oooglemore. Playing at the Unicorn Theatre, London and at The Ark in Dublin, The Guardian considered his performance of Oooglemore in Jermemee, Hartleby and Oooglemore as ‘delightfully deadpan’.

Fionn also has a background in self-made devised theatre, including co-created ensemble shows and solo shows. Keepers by The Plasticine Men, won the Three Weeks Editor’s Choice Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was shortlisted for a Stage Award and a Total Theatre Award. Lyn Gardiner of The Guardian described the show as ‘a beautiful piece of no-frills physical theatre’. Fionn’s solo shows, For Provide Life and an adaption of The Oresteia, both ran in Bristol and he hope to develop more in the future.

Fionn also teaches drama and acting to young people and has a PGCE in drama for secondary schools. He is excited about the potential of TV and film to further explore his interests.
