Lauren Maxwell is a dynamic and versatile actor whose work spans across theatre, film, and live street performance. Since graduating from East 15 Acting School in 2017, Lauren has built an eclectic and vibrant career, embracing everything from devising new theatre to touring classical text, from physical storytelling to improvised comedic performances.

Internationally, Lauren has been touring with The Flying Seagull Project—a celebrated clowning and circus troupe dedicated to bringing joy to underserved communities across Europe and the Middle East. Her ability to adapt her performance style to different cultures and audiences has enhanced her comedic skills. Whether juggling, stilt-walking, or devising fast-paced clown shows filled with live music and physical theatre, Lauren has loved creating moments of joy and connection for thousands of families in need.

In London, Lauren is a core member and director of Dangerosity, a collaborative community of actors and writers that champions bold new work. She has appeared at the Southwark Playhouse in Bareface and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with two new tragicomedies. Her standout moment at the Fringe in 2023 was highlighted by London Pub Theatre, who praised her quick wit and stage presence:

“Maxwell seamlessly weaved the incident into the narrative and secured what was probably the best laugh of the night.”

A multi-disciplinary artist, Lauren’s performance toolkit includes circus arts (juggling, stilt-walking, poi, hula hoop), choral singing, and dance (street, contemporary, jazz). She celebrates bringing an open mind, boundless enthusiasm, and her collaborative and uplifting attitude to every project she works on, and is looking forward to her next on-screen or on-stage role.
